Wests Tigers members helped raised the spirits of their team at the exclusive Members Only function at Concord Oval on Sunday, July 27.

On a warm and sunny day at Camp Concord, players, coaching staff and administration staff from Wests Tigers enjoyed the opportunity to mingle with hundreds of loyal members.

The despair of losing to the Panthers the previous night was pushed aside as the members enjoyed the chance to meet the players, have photographs with their favourite stars, and get their merchandise signed.

It was also a chance for members to meet the club’s future stars in the Wests Tigers Toyota Cup team who joined in the fun of the event.

Players such as Brett Hodgson, Robbie Farah, Benji Marshall to respected coach Tim Sheens got the biggest cheers as they were interviewed on stage by Wests Tigers Media Officer Wayne Cousins.

All spoke positively about the task ahead of making the finals and are confident the team has the ability and talent to win the necessary games to make the play-offs.

Members also snapped up the 50% discount offered on all remaining 2007 merchandise as well as some great 2008 bargains from the Wests Tigers Merchandise Van.

Entertainment on the day included performances from the NLG Dance Team, the Wests Tigers Dance Team, band Sounds of Cirkus, cheerleading clinics to an ARLD skills session whilst enjoying healthy Ali Baba kebabs, cold drinks and great coffee.

One of the biggest highlights for members was the rare and exclusive opportunity to have their photo taken with the Wests Tigers team. Members of all ages formed a long queue to sit between Hodgson and Marshall to get their lifetime memory captured.

Farah said the support of the members was greatly appreciated by all.

“It has been a tough season for us but you guys, the members, keep showing up," Farah told the members.

“Thanks for coming out after a loss last night and it is good to see you all here."
